► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Seiko Sign Table D410-5020 men’s digital sports watch, produced exclusively for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1980s. This highly collectible Seiko digital model comes from the brand’s most experimental era and features the innovative Sign Table system, which allows users to input and display alphanumeric characters directly on the watch—an advanced and forward-thinking function for its time. The watch features Seiko’s classic rectangular stainless steel case paired with a distinctive two-tier LCD display. The upper display shows the time, day, and date, while the lower display is dedicated to the alphanumeric Sign Table and data functions, giving the watch a bold, unmistakably 1980s futuristic aesthetic. Please note: the sound on the watch is not working. There is no audible beep or alarm output. Aside from the sound issue, the watch is fully functional, with timekeeping, display, buttons, Sign Table functions, and other operations working properly. The watch is fitted with its original Seiko stainless steel bracelet, preserving its authentic vintage configuration. Physically, it is in good condition with signs of use and age consistent with an original 1980s digital watch. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully. ► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY

Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
